Move over, Pacific Crest Trail! Think again, Big Painted Canyon! The City of La Quinta is tremendously proud that word has gotten out: our hiking trails are among the best in the west!
Not to toot my own horn, but I’ve been a super-fan of hiking our cove for a while now. My husband is an avid backpacker, and we tow two young boys under 5 with us out there regularly. Heck, I’ve even seen a dad pushing his double-wide stroller along the gently sloping trail head. This is my point: the La Quinta Cove has something for each and every possible type of hiker!
Profuse with my words, Sunset Magazine, the preeminent West Coast lifestyle magazine, puts it best: “This is the perfect place for trekking.”
