La Quinta Arts Festival 2014 is “Proud as a Peacock” to be the first show ever to earn Art Fair Sourcebook’s dual ranking as the #1 Fine Art Festival AND the #1 Fine Craft Festival in the Nation.
Presented by La Quinta Arts Foundation with the City of La Quinta as the Premier Sponsor, the 32nd annual La Quinta Arts Festival returns to the spectacular La Quinta Civic Center Campus at the intersection of Washington Street and Calle Tampico, adjacent to City Hall, hosting 234 amazing artists from 36 states, Canada, Israel and Nicaragua exhibiting their works in every fine art and craft category.
New this year is the opportunity to start your day off right with Make This a Mimosa Morning at the Champagne Bar on the amphitheatre lawn. Later stop by the Zen Oasis Lounge presented by Shanghi Red’s serving fabulous Asian style and light fare. Or visit Restaurant Row favorites Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Fisherman’s Market & Grill, plus the Island Bar. And do not miss The Chocolate Bar tended by the sweet masterminds from Brandini Toffee who will dip creamy ice cream bars into decadent milk or dark chocolate, rolled in their famous toffee.
Anticipate performance extraordinaire from the DiosGracias VoceDans Theater, a company of butoh-inspired dancers/singers/musicians, who utilize the full range of the body as the instrument for artistic expression. Welcome the soothing flamenco guitar stylings of Milton Merlos, and crowd favorites Oscar Reynolds and Steve Madaio and Company.
