Mission LQ: Rocket Launch

Have you ever dreamed of being an astronaut?

Or better yet, building a rocket – not just a model that sits on your shelf collecting dust, but a launchable rocket and then experiencing the thrill of seeing it soar?

If so, you won’t want to miss out on “Mission LQ: Rocket Launch” where novice and experienced rocketeers ages 6 years and up can learn, build, and launch small power rockets.

La Quinta Rocketry Club leaders will offer instructions and ensure a safe and controlled environment for everyone.

Mission LQ: Rocket Launch will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at Monticello Park, at the corner of Fred Waring Drive and Monticello Avenue in north La Quinta.

The event is free.
